Laser Mosquito Zappers: Hype vs. Reality

📝 Why: Yep, China (and some other countries) have developed laser mosquito zappers—sometimes called ‘Photonic Fences’. For example, a well-known version was first developed by Intellectual Ventures in the US, and similar devices have been tested in China for pest control. But they’re not exactly “air defence systems”—think more fancy gadget, less sci-fi defence grid.
