🔥Hot Take 🔥: Plant protein is NOT a myth, and oats aren’t just “animal feed”! 🥣💪
🎯 Reality Check: Sketchy 🚩
📝 Why: Lentils are actually a good source of plant protein. 100g of cooked lentils gives about 9g protein (USDA). Lentil protein isn’t magically unavailable; “Protein digestibility-corrected amino acid score (PDCAAS)” for lentils is lower than eggs/meat, but still significant, and they contain all essential amino acids (though less of some, e.g. methionine — but a mixed diet solves this). The British Nutrition Foundation says: “plant sources like beans and lentils ... can contribute to protein needs.”
